I know we have hard water in Mn, but this is ridiculous. Nine below zero and yours truly is out stumbling in snow past my knees across the rip-rap boulders so I can snap a photo with my phone. What a maroon. Anyway, this is where we hope to spend countless weekends and summers pursuing our favorite pastime. For now I will be counting the days till ice out. The slips always look so much nicer with sailboats in them. The lucky ones usually start putting theirs back in around the middle of May. Only 5 ½ months to go, yippee!
When we spent a weekend on the lake in mid September, this is where we stayed overnight. For our 18′ Precision, the transient fee was $20. Seemed fair enough. Plus we were treated with listening to the hard of hearing neighbors watch TV till 2AM. We stayed at the marina as it was our first time sailing our boat on this lake. Next time we will anchor out where we found a nice little cove, as long as the wind is from the south at least. We sailed to that cove and ate our breakfast and drank coffee to the rising sun. It was beautiful. It was the last warm weekend of the summer and every one was out enjoying the last hurrah.
