I was checking up on Alex and Taru the other day on their excellent blog, The World Tour, and saw this photo of Taru diving off their beautiful Halberg Rassy 352, Caos. For those of you who don’t know, Alex and Taru are preparing to set off on a world tour aboard their sailboat in October 2010. I’m just a little jealous, as that is our dream as well, someday. For now we are living our dream through Alex and Taru.

Back to her photo. Very nice form indeed. But I could not resist showing that Taru is not the only one on a sailboat with impeccable form.

Notice, if you will, how my back is all hunched up and my head is bent under and my feet our flaring out at weird angles. I do this as a safety precaution so that if I don’t come back to the surface immediately, the huge splash and concentric rings will alert the air crew from the Coast Guard of my approximate whereabouts when they come looking for me. Poor Taru however, with her straight as an arrow entry into the water will create but a small blip as she enters the water leaving no sign of her whereabouts should Alex need to find her in a hurry. She will be missed.

All kidding aside, I suggest you check out their blog, The World Tour, it is well done and  very interesting. Taru is Finish, Alex is French and they live in Spain, they both know multiple languages and own a fantastic yacht. Reading their blog right before making dinner is always a good idea because there are great photos of food for inspiration as well. They are starting out on their grand adventure in 124 days as I write this and I can’t wait to see how it turns out!
