I needed a little mid-winter pick-me-up, as I’m sure a lot of us northern sailors do. Hope you don’t mind me trying my hand at some amateur poetry. The accompanying photo was shot from the north shore of Lake Superior by Honey Bunny the summer before last.  Happy Sailing (dreams for now).

As an aside I just found a new web site for Islander sailboat owners named All Islander and is the place where all Islander boat owners can get together as their sub-title states.

P.S. Don’t forget to top off your house batteries if they are in winter storage. It is recommended that they be done so once a month at the least.  Fully charged batteries are happy batteries.
