Here is the first installment of our Labor Day vacation. We spent 10 days on the boat traveling from town to town along the shores of Lake Pepin. These are from out time spent at the town of Pepin, WI and also down stream a bit at the town of Wabasha. Wabash is known for two things, The National Eagle Center and the movie Grumpy Old Men. Pepin is a cute little town with a marina and a restaurant that goes by the name of Harbor View Cafe.
Enjoy the photos.
Rowing the boat ashore in Pepin.
Another sidewalk in Pepin, WI.
Harbor View Cafe, all the rage for diners.
Capt. Puffy reflects on water.
What a pretty boat behind the eagles!
Chief Wabasha II blessing Aurion.
Still in the mist in the morning.
Come back Honey Bunny, come back.
Hope you enjoyed the photo spread, We certainly enjoyed living them.
Aurion is now on the hard, wrapped in her blue winter coat of shrink wrap till the sun once more gains altitude in our skies and warms the cool deep waters of Lake Pepin. Till then we sleep snug in the warmth of our sailing memories from our summer past.
I hereby proclaim that I will be posting a little more regularly, so stay tuned.
Oh yea, if any one knows what the yellow ketch is I would love to hear from you!
Hope the back is ok, sending you all the best!
Great photos, fun to see somebody else enjoying Pepin Marina, our home port 😉
I should know more about the yellow ketch but I really don’t. It’s a very cool boat, remember looking at it every time I walk by. Figured you’d like the pair of beauties, owners are really nice too…
Hi Steve, Thanks for the well wishes. Getting better every day. Hows the new baby?
It was fun traveling around the lake, we made it to Red Wing,
Stockholm, Wabasha, Pepin and Lake City in all. It was a great time.
