I just discovered this rather interesting feature of Google Maps. It is a way for us winter bound Minnesotans to do a little coral reef exploring from the comforts of our computer screen. There are quite a few different areas of the world you can explore using this new feature. I spent about 20 minutes checking it out the other day. You can see coral reefs from Hawaii and Australia and the Philippine Islands. It is quite interactive, you can virtually walk from the beach to the water and begin your dive seeing various coral life including turtles, sea rays and of course fishes. Check it out when the boss isn’t looking and have yourself a mini vacation when you get the chance.
