Pier-Illusion

I was fooling around with some old photos yesterday and thought I would share one of them. We took this image of a passing sailboat while we were in Duluth a few years ago visiting the Tall Ship Festival. As you can see in the photo she is gliding past the Great Lakes Aquarium which is a fantastic place to visit if you are in Duluth some time. This was just before all the tall ships made their arrival to the Duluth Harbor. We were on our Precision 23 at the time motoring around too.  I’m not familiar with this make or model, so I don’t have any information to share about her. If anyone out there on the internets knows what this is, I’d love to know. She sure is pretty!

Here is a screen shot from the Duluth Harbor Cam today for a little contrast. -15 degrees F. On the live feed the ice flows are traveling out to the main lake. Burrr!!! The second photo, from a slightly different angle, is of the Roseway which we were fortunate enough to be able to sail out onto the main lake for a couple hours. This is the difference between January and July in Minnesota.
