Here is another video of us coming into Red Wing, Mn aboard our sailboat, Aurion, an Islander 28. We had a close encounter with a towboat and barge just before coming to our destination, namely, the public wall in front of the city park in Red Wing. Of course it was the tightest bend in the river. We had plenty of room in the end, but a little exciting for us none the less. I generally like to give the commercial traffic lots of room.

It was a spectacularly wonderful trip up-river and we had a great time. You can read a little more detail and see additional photos and video from Cruising Lake Pepin on an Islander 28, First Port, Red Wing, Mn.

Stay tuned for Part III where we have some nice sailing and make port in Pepin, Wi.

Perhaps you noticed, I recently changed the header image from a photo we took a few years ago up on Lake Mille Lacs while visiting with our Precision 18, to a photo which we took while at anchor next to Pepin Marina on our cruise around the lake. That was a beautiful sunset!  I think the cameraman should be hired out by someone, don’t you?
