Today I’m adding a new section, which will be located on the left side-bar, that I’m calling Capt. Puffy’s Boat de Jour. I will be posting sailboats which I find intriguing and exemplify our current Boat de Jour ideas. Keeping in mind this is a very fluid definition and changes practically every time I hear about something new. The links are provided only to provide additional information concerning the craft. Todays Boat de Jour (BDJ) is a 1976 Ranger 33. I’ve had my eye on this one for awhile, I even went to the boatyard to look at it, but it had not arrived from the marina yet. Disappointment! Anyway, the whole Ranger line, 28 feet and up, are very interesting to us. We also seem to be drawn to Ericson’s and Tartan’s. And now I just read an article about a Bayfield 32, designed by Ted Gozzard. So many sailboats, so little time.
On a lighter note, I just read about some other strange bedevilment called a Lady Gaga Schooner, or something, I think. Very strange indeed. I’m not sure how well she would sail, but I’m guessing about as good as this abomination.
